Shipping Policy

General Shipping Policy

Free shipping applies to many addresses in the contiguous United States. Exceptions may include transfer switches shipping alone, batteries, hazardous materials, towable products and other items with special handling requirements. Customers are responsible for confirming product compatibility with their location and application.

Most in-stock orders received before 12 PM CST Monday through Friday are prepared for same-day shipment when possible. Orders received after the cutoff, on weekends or on holidays generally ship the next business day. Special-order and built-to-order products follow the manufacturer’s posted lead time.

Freight Delivery

Large or heavy orders may ship through a freight carrier. Freight deliveries may require an appointment and someone should be available to inspect and sign for the shipment.

Transit times vary by carrier and destination. Free freight applies to many locations within the contiguous 48 states, but high-cost areas, ferry service, remote locations, islands or other special services may create additional charges. Freight delivery is typically made by semi-truck and trailer, so the delivery location must be accessible to this type of vehicle.

Ground Delivery

Eligible ground orders within the contiguous 48 states may ship free. Business-address deliveries are generally made Monday through Friday, while residential delivery may be available Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.

Transit estimates begin after the package ships and may be affected by weather, holidays, rural delivery limitations, incorrect address information or recipient availability.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited options may be available for in-stock parts, accessories and qualifying generator orders. Options can include overnight, two-day or three-day service depending on the item and destination.

Alaska, Hawaii, Canada & Other Destinations

Free shipping does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada. Some products may not be eligible for shipment to these locations. Additional shipping charges may apply.

Gen Power Depot does not currently ship directly to many international destinations, APO, FPO, DPO, U.S. Territories or P.O. Boxes. Contact us before ordering if your delivery address falls outside the standard service area.

Lift Gate Policy

Liftgate availability is determined by the carrier. Liftgate service is available for many freight shipments but is not available for certain liquid-cooled generators and is generally unavailable for diesel or mobile products. Customers receiving larger equipment may need a forklift, chains or a loading dock to unload the shipment.

Current product-specific guidelines include: Generac liquid-cooled units at or below 48kW may be eligible for liftgate service; Kohler, Cummins, Briggs and WINCO liquid-cooled units are generally not eligible. Liftgate deliveries are curbside only.

Delivery Appointment & Notification

Freight shipments may include a delivery notification or appointment process. Carrier appointment practices can vary. Review your shipment confirmation carefully and refer to the Gen Power Depot Terms & Conditions for additional delivery requirements.
